General Discussion / Re: Gaming PC help

I don't know much about hardware at all, but i think most people will tell you, that if you don't really plan on doing any fancy stuff like double GPU's (is that even considered fancy? God, I am a disgrace to the PC Master Race), or any sort of overclocking, then there really isn't any reason to spend anything more than the 1000-1500$ range (and I think i am being fairly generous with the 1500$ number). You won't need a fancy motherboard and you won't need powerful power supply, just something that can handle the standard load and of a trusted brand.

ladyattis is little more than a religious zealot at this point.

The video he/she is talking about:

It is actually really incredible that someone from the gaming comunity would try to interview Jack and try to understand his real perspective on this. But no, apperantly, nobody should listen to him at all (the video doesn't even approve of anything he did, it just gives as a perspective and actually listens to what the guy actually has to say, rather than give us out of context quot-mines) and the very fact that he is on board means that GamerGate should be completelly ignored. I  have absolutelly 0 respect left for ladyattis.

Interesting that she said she blocked me, but then just kept responding to me.

Daughter of Hong Kong Chief Executive facing calls to quit by pro-democracy protesters 'takes to Facebook to thank taxpayers for buying her expensive shoes'

Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be Hong Kong's "Let them eat cake," and this entitled bitch's head is going to be the first one sliced off by Madam Guillotine?

The "Let them eat cake" thing was made up propaganda. Thus making this that much more jarring and repulsive. Call me evil, but i won't have much sympathy for her if she does get caught by these people.

They don't come up with new theories. They just go hunting for more anomalies.

Welp, top comment.

This guy proposes an interesting (at first, anyway, I have no devoted any time thinking about it) about how our extinction is inevitable.

Funny thing is, I know of no other universe where external media is considered canon. In Doctor Who, for example, none of the novels and audio adventures (as good as many of them were) are considered canon.

Almost 100% guarantee that this was nothing more than a marketing strategy.

People dismissing the Star Wars Expanded Universe as "fanficiton" that "doesn't count" and saying that this reboot is such a great thing for the franchise. I am ery ery sick of them.

If you are going to act like that, then why care about the reboot? If you still managed to enjoy all of it, despite "not counting" (to most people, from what I observe), then why can't you do the same after the reboot? I guess if they cancelled some ongoing storyline because of this, I guess it would suck, though.

Ignoring the, well, ignorant assumption that the US has any sort of a free market for internet, the merger means nothing at the end of the day. The two companies did not compete within the same postal code.
