QuoteCampbell painted the picture for UNA officials. Tuskegee's fans, he said, are overwhelmingly black and UNA's are overwhelmingly white. Allowing the two fan bases to sit together on the same side of the field would be risking danger, he said

Money quote from The Skeptical Libertarian about the media

QuoteFox news doesn't make Republicans . MSNBC doesn't make Democrats. People flock to these media sources for the very same reason that libertarians flock to Lew Rockwell and truthers flock to Infowars: because they confirm what people already believe

Usually I find those who label themselves as "Paleolibertarian" tend to have socially conservative positions but they prefer the "State's Rights" as camouflage vs using the blunt force of the federal government

General Discussion / Re: Libertarianism in Video Games

There was a big debate about Assassin's Creed on here awhile back. The Glyph puzzles in Brotherhood made it suggested the Templar's invented capitalism as a way to control the masses. Somebody on here played the game in another language and said the glyph's were totally different.

Bioshock is your average liberal arts major's understand of Atlas Shrugged.

Red Dead Redemption had alot of libertarian themes running through it. Every government official was either incompetent, corrupt, or both.  The characters actually showed compassion for one another despite and have an orderly society despite *gasp* there being no government to speak of in most of the world.

http://www.news4jax.com/news/internet-cafe-reopens-pays-out-cash/-/475880/21230090/-/knm4yr/-/index.html

Just to remind everyone of the timeline

Florida sees an explosion of internet cafes.

Police raid one cafe chain because apparently gambling is evil if its for profit but ok for charity.

Florida legislature writes the most hamfisted bill since The Patriot Act turning the use of the internet into a felony, immediately put 15,000 people out of work, and could cause more business closings.

Some cafes reopen with a new coat of paint and just offer straight cash winnings.

QuoteI think if Zimmerman had it to do all over again, he would probably do it exactly the same way.  He got away with it after all.  And now he's famous and a folk hero amongst a bunch of people who fantasize that they too can kill a teenager that they don't like the looks of.

When the book and film money comes rolling in, and he sues broadcast news to settle for an undisclosed sum, the lesson will be complete:  "Does your life suck?  Are you a loser nobody?  Shoot a kid!  It helps if he's black, but anyone 'scary' will do!"
