Title: Gun control and Censorship
Post by: Skm1091 on August 07, 2019, 08:57:02 PM
When watching Youtube videos on the subject, has anyone ever taken screenshots of their comments mysteriously disappearing when they log out? I have taken quite a few for a while now.

Here is an example. This is my comment I made on an episode of the Jimmy Kimmel Show covering the Las Vegas Shooting. I can see it when I am logged in, but not not when I am logged out.

Several versions of YouTube's comment system (and even more notably when YouTube had no comment system and was incorrectly pretended to be part of Google+ instead) have simply not shown all comments.  Wether or not they are actually gone is another matter.  This is definitely algorithmic and not manual, and definitely not immediate, as I have observed many instances where replies were visible to comments that were not.

I don't think that's the case with my Comment on Jimmy Kimmel tho. I have commented on his video on the El Paso Shooting and it had the same result. Aside from the algorithm, Youtube channels can manually remove comments or premoderate them. So this is a sign that they are cowards and runners of echo chambers

And this happened just right after I posted the comment. So this is likely deliberate shadow banning, pre-moderation, or just outright removal.
