When Jordan, an Arab Monarchy in the middle of the Near East, is 7th in economic frredoms in 2015 (Fraser Institue). At least I'm a citizen there, so can escape if the economy here totally collapses.

The US--"land of opportunity" is 16th. The only other country in the region freer economically is the UAE--5th freest. (Israel's 39th).

The Canadians here can have--for now--the satisfaction that Canada is 9th. So much for being the "Nirth Anerican Sweden"--Sweden is 42nd.

so why are many in the US voting for people who want to make a Venezuela (157th) of us?

Well as for the canadians im not sure how well the "Its the current year." Prime minister is going to keep it up.

Well, speed of light, you know. Has to get there and back.

I cant wait that long when the world is ruined by nuclear fire in 199X!!!

Well I guess while I wait ill use this baby

Yes, but you have to wait 860 years for testing to complete.

I zap it with my Portable Sonic North Star Killer!

Are those available for sale?

The 199X thing was a reference to Fist of the North Star

The year is 199X and the world is ruined by Nuclear War. If you could choose a weapon you would carry with you to fight of menacing raiders and megalomaniacal warlords (other than firearms, gotta conserve that ammo for food), what would it be?

I dunno. Debating someone like sedar is like talking to a brick wall.

This is why voting is pointless, kids.

He has said a lot of things that make me cringe, but the AnCap problem is pretty minor because it doesn't really affect the rest of his discourse I think. The thing is, I've never seen him interact with a libertarian, so I really don't know where he fails to understand the issue ... Well, I've never seen him interact with a libertarian about libertarianism. There is one video with Karen Straughan but obviously they talked about feminism, gamergate etc.

He did a video with that guy T once

In response to me saying I want to move to Chattanooga TN for the 1000 Mbps connection (or possibly to a city with Google Fiber, is actually available in some cities not just under construction):
"But Travis! That's too much bandwidth, you'd never be able to use it all legally! We have 50 mbit and we barely use that."

My response: "Awesome, give some of it to me", or "Prove it using math, or STFU & GTFO."

Gotta love people in ivory towers...

That might have just been a joke. I use that kind of humor all the time.
