Co-Host: Charles Thomas

News of the Bogus:
21:10 - Biggest Bogon Emitter: David Robert Grimes (nominated by BlameThe1st) https://www.theguardian.com/science/blog/2014/aug/29/libertarian-ideology-natural-enemy-science

This Week's Quote: "Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all...It is as if the socialists were to accuse us of not wanting persons to eat because we do not want the state to raise grain." —Frédéric Bastiat

For those who've never watched, Doctor Who has been popular because it is generally very well written.

It used to be claimed that Windows was a common cracker target because it was popular, but it has long since been the case that Linux and UNIX are the majority of internet-facing servers while the majority of compromised internet-facing servers are Windows.

Another important detail about the specific CS gas used against the Branch Davidians:   Because CS is a suspended dust rather than a gas, it needs a dispersant to get it airborne.  The dispersant used in the specific types used here was CARBON MONOXIDE.  This would be acceptable in the manufacturer-specified OUTDOOR use, but is potentially lethal in indoor use, especially when pumped in at very high densities as it was in this case.

10 years ago, studio-quality music was producible by ordinary, off-the-shelf consumer gear.  Now, you can use consumer-level gear to produce studio-quality movies, including CGI and other special effects.

Cake may be better than fried rocks, but you can actually get rocks in Venezuela.  Fuel to fry them is another matter.

While it might LOOK awesome, I can assure you that the hairy-type fabric you need to make Sesame Street martian costumes is very hot, hard to sew, and the tufts make a terrible mess when you cut it.

Regarding the BBE.
Governments are still the world's biggest polluters by far even if you don't count war.  https://fee.org/articles/governments-are-the-worst-violators-of-pollution-laws/

On the FDA, I suppose the 4+ million people murdered by being denied life saving medication because it was still stuck in bogus efficacy testing don't count.  Gotta love it when statists virtue signal.

...Are the police in Fresno County Colorado(?) usually that crazy? All that over a homeless guy and an ice cream bar?! Hearing about stuff like this from time to time re-confirms it for me to know that, yep, we're really living in a backwards world.

Doctor Who is a series I've been somewhat familiar with. I've seen all with 9th Doctor and most of David Tennant as the 10th Doctor episodes On Demand. I've kept track with the sister show more; Torchwood. Good thing I know how to start catching up with both series online, so I'll get around to that eventually. (It'll be a long while, but it'll be worth it.)

FDA. *unamused face* I think I have a book to pick up and read that has dirt on them? *goes off to grab it* *comes back* Yup I do!! Titled "Deadly Medicine: Why tens of thousands of heart patients died in America's worst drug disaster" by Thomas J. Moore, who was a senior fellow at George Washington University's Center for Health Policy Research. This book was published in 1995.

I have a handful of informative books to read, and I've got only a bit to go on one, and started another. If anyone is interested to know more, I'll let you know when I started reading Moore's book. (I might start sharing anyway, on my Twitter account. Possibly on my YouTube channel as well.)

Liked the Idiot Extraordinare segment. Gotta make room for laughs, because in this backwards world, you can't take yourself, others, or life too seriously - or else you'll want to close your mind off and crawl back into closed-minded ignorance. Ick... That's all I've got to say. Overall this was good. I learned some new things, and I was entertained.

Travis, I saved that image! That's a great find. I plan on sharing. :D

Just so everyone knows: there's a new streaming service from BBC and ITV called BritBox, and among lots of other great things they have ALL of the classic Doctor Who, including audios of the missing episodes!
