Our immigration laws are a bureaucratic nightmare. Have a basic screening system for a criminal record and medical issues, then let 'em all in.

Oh, and educate people about economics so that they'll realize that immigrants do NOT take jobs away from Americans.

It can be noted that illegal immigrants can take jobs from Americans in that they can subvert minimum wage laws.

But Shane is right. If it was simply easier to legally enter the United States, most immigrants would be willing to. I guess in an ideal world, deportation would be the only real option for those that enter illegally.

No, they're just taking the jobs that Minimum Wage already took from Americans.
