It isn't surprising Antifa would love many of Hitler's policies while not knowing that they're Hitler's policies.  There was that study a while back that showed that, in general, those further to the left were less likely to be able to accurately describe other political positions than those further to the right.  This suggests that the echo-chamber effect is not as strong on the right at this time as it is on the left.  Antifa have the strongest echo-chamber, given that they will attempt to kill anyone who doesn't agree with them.

They don't even understand their own. How many times have people questioned people at a socialist rally who didn't have the first clue what socialism actually means?

I've never seen anyone at a socialist rally who knew anything about what socialism entails or what invariably happens (or even that the plan of the communist parties on taking over any other country generally started with murdering the existing local communist party members).
