Victorian England was, apparently, the time and place with the largest production of child pornography in history.  (I don't know if she collected CP, but it came out a few years ago that Queen Victoria had a substantial porn collection, as did Prince Albert, and they even gave each other porn as gifts.  Queen Vicky's stash apparently still exists.)

The weakness of Social Security Numbers is the combination of only having a maximum of 999 999 999 numbers and having almost a third of those currently ACTIVE.  Credit card companies do their best to make the credit card numbers that are active sparse in the space of possible numbers, and to keep the algorithm used to select numbers to activate private so future valid numbers are difficult to guess.  Neither is possible with SSNs.  (Canada's equivalent, the Social Insurance Number, isn't as bad, as it's also a 9 digit number but applied to a population approximately a tenth the size of the US.)

Also, the audio isn't showing up for me here.  I checked the HTML, and the audio section of the page is missing entirely for me.

Not all of them are valid. It's actually 900,000,000.

Quoteand having almost a third of those currently ACTIVE.

And the fact that they're not entirely random; each state has their own set of prefixes.

I'll try and fix the audio.

OK, the audio is back again.

It's really stupid that there are more TELEPHONE numbers available in the US than SSN's.

Pics or it didn't happen! :P

And they're a lot easier to change if you need to.
